Hiking
The Soca Valley is covered in routes, from easy to hard, including via ferrata options for the more adventurous. The cable car for Kanin Ski Resort also remains open through the summer months, so you get the chance to start your hike way up above the tree line on Mount Kanin. The Lepena Valley is another firm favourite where you climb to the glacial lake of Krn or hike Mangart – another locals’ choice! There is an excellent selection of local route maps in the Bovec Tourist Office. The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable too.
