About this chalet
Situated in the picturesque alpine village of Châtel, Chalet Letach is a stunning retreat for families and friends to enjoy the mountains. Châtel is in the heart of the Portes Du Solei ski region with easy access to Supa Châtel and links stretching as far as Morzine, Avoriaz and Les Gets – all on the same lift ticket.
The log fire, wrap around balcony and fire pit, all with spectacular views, open plan living and kitchen make Chalet Letach a great place to catch up, relax and spend time with your friends and family. An additional snug up in the loft gives you the flexibility of living space to cater for multiple age groups, a great way to keep everyone happy.
Chalet Letach sleeps 12 people with the choice of 5 bedrooms.
2 Doubles, 2 twins, plus a family room with a bunk and twin beds (sleeping 4 in total).
All rooms are spacious and well thought out. Two of the bedrooms also have a balcony giving more opportunity to enjoy the mountain view and the stunning Abondance Valley. Our boot room is great. Loads of space to hang, store and dry all your kit ready for tomorrow! The boot rack is within the house for extra warmth and space, making heading out in the morning so much easier, organised and stress free.
The free ski bus runs from outside the chalet. Although the Lake Vonnes lift and the Super Chatel gondola are both within walking distance, why would you when you can catch a lift so easily. The buses are frequent and don’t cost a penny.
Chalet Letach is self catered though the restaurants and dining options in the village are well worth a visit. From home made pizzas eat in or take away to full local delicacies such as a ‘Raclette‘ (melting cheese) or the ‘Pierrade’ (cooking on a hot rock or grill). Dining in? Let someone else cook, it’s a popular option in the valley, several local expert chefs offer a full menu for pre-order and delivery.
Fly into Geneva or drive.
We are approximately 9 to 10 hours drive from Calais, or approximately 1 hour 15 from Geneva.
There is parking for 2 cars at the chalet. Additional ad-hoc parking can be found on the road side directly opposite the chalet (not the hotel car park). Further parking can be found in the village centre.

Bevan and Jo are the founders who, in short, are lifelong mountain nuts.
Despite following different routes into the mountains, they came together because of their love for the hills. They’ve done ski seasons all over the world, in both the northern and southern hemisphere. They taught, raced, teched and partied their way around the world since 1995. For the last 15 years they’ve had their beautiful chalet in the Slovene Alps and rented it to mountain goers. They lived in Slovenia full time for 5 years but are now absolutely delighted to offer holiday accommodation in the French Alps too.
Bevan and Jo are married with 2 children Norah and Grace. It’s their vast experience in the ski and snowboard industry paired with their family life that gives them a great understanding for what people want and need on a mountain holiday. They have great advice and top tips whether guests come to them as a first time family trip, or as a guide looking to host a group, they can help.
Bev and Jo take great pride in providing a home from home experience for people to relax and enjoy.
They couldn’t do it alone, and it’s a real family affair. Chalet Letach in France is owned and run by the entire family. Sisters Beck and Katie as well as Dad Geoff all make it possible along with Tom Tom the awesome builder of everything. It’s a fun and exciting time….
