Chatel is in the Portes Du Soleil region of the Franch Alps

On the French-Swiss boarder, Chatel is one of the 12 linked ski resorts that make up the largest area in Europe! There are 300 ski slopes with 197 lifts all on one pass.

We are linked to;  Avoriaz, Morzine, Montriond, Les Gets, St Jean d’Aulps, Abondance, La Chapelle d’Abondance and Châtel in France, and in Switzerland Champéry, Torgon, Morgins and Les Crosets – Val d’Illiez – Champoussin.

There is something for everyone. Absolute beginners are very well catered for. The local ski school and ski lifts provide the most gradual progression to give maximum confidence. For intermediate and advanced – you can challenge yourself or take a tour, it’s all waiting for you. The off pieste is vast, local guides are available as well as heliskiing options on the Swiss side.

‘You come for the winter and stay for the summer’. No truer word could be said than for Chatel. With multiple lifts remaining open to access world class Mountain Bike routes (MTB) in the summer, plus the nearby lakes for wild swimming, hiking, climbing, the Wellness Centre Spa and the multiple superb restaurants and cafes. This truly is a magical part of the world whenever you choose to visit.
